What do you love about being a speech therapist?

“I love helping make a difference in a person’s life! Communication is essential in expressing ourselves and living life to the fullest. I love that we as speech therapists help make that happen for people.”

Describe the most recent accomplishment with a client through online speech therapy that you are particularly proud of.

“Hard to pick just one! From first words and sounds, to returning to work post stroke, to delivering a beautiful graduation speech free of stuttering, to co-workers noting improved speaking skills, to your favorite server understanding your order with ease despite progressive Parkinson’s Disease, my clients have accomplished incredible things with their hard work and determination!”

What do you like about being a Better Speech SLP?

“I love getting to work with such a diverse group of individuals from sea to sea. I am licensed in 8 states and currently work online with clients from 15 months to 90 years young! I enjoy working from home and the flexibility to spend time with my sweet family.”

Tell us something about yourself that is not well known.

“I knew I wanted to be a speech therapist during a high school tennis tournament. I ran off the court and proclaimed my plans to family and teammates after successfully utilizing breathing strategies as trained by my medical pediatric SLP after struggling with my exercise-induced, asthma-like condition of VCD (vocal cord dysfunction).”
